At 70, Kevin Costner is clearly not slowing down when it comes to his personal life. The Hollywood star was recently spotted in Aspen enjoying a winter getaway with his 46-year-old partner, Kelly Noonan, and their outing quickly caught the attention of paparazzi.
The couple traveled to Colorado for the Christmas holidays and were seen spending an evening together at the famous ski resort. Dressed for the cold mountain air, Kelly opted for a khaki coat paired with dark jeans and brown ankle boots that subtly added to her height. She finished the look with green gloves and a striped clutch. Costner kept things classic in a brown coat layered over a black sweater, light blue jeans, and gray suede boots.
Joined by friends, the pair headed out for dinner at a local restaurant, looking relaxed and comfortable in each other’s company. Their body language suggested ease rather than performance, with no signs of tension or secrecy as they made their way through Aspen.
Romance rumors surrounding Costner and Noonan first surfaced back in August, when the two attended the JAS Labor Day Experience festival together in Snowmass Village near Aspen. Since then, those close to the actor say they are happy to see him smiling again after a turbulent chapter in his life.
“Kevin is dating again and genuinely happy after a very difficult period,” a source close to the actor shared. “He is with Kelly now. They spent time together in Aspen during the summer as well. He prefers to keep things low-key because he doesn’t want the situation to spiral into unwanted attention.”
According to people in his inner circle, the two-time Oscar winner is deeply taken with his new partner and has built a warm relationship with her children from previous relationships. “Kelly is exactly his type,” the source added. “They share a love for nature and sports. She enjoys surfing and long walks with dogs. She also has young kids, and Kevin has always loved children, so he finds that especially touching. He says she’s easygoing, and that’s exactly what he needs right now.”
Costner’s renewed happiness comes after officially finalizing his divorce from Christine Baumgartner in February of last year, following 20 years of marriage. The former couple share three children: Cayden, 18, Hayes, 16, and Grace, 15. As part of the settlement, the actor was ordered to pay 63 thousand dollars per month in child support, significantly less than the 248 thousand originally requested.
The split was far from peaceful, with legal disputes escalating to the point where Costner successfully had Baumgartner removed from their 145 million dollar oceanfront estate in Carpinteria. Since then, she has also moved on, marrying financier Josh Connor, who was once a friend of the actor.
