When I heard the ringtone on my sister-in-law’s phone, I changed my mind about giving my son a flat 😱 I will tell you why in the article👇👇
My sister-in-law and I had a good and friendly relationship. We never quarrelled and always helped each other. When my daughter-in-law Lina was in hospital, then and here I helped, I took my granddaughter to myself. And recently I promised to give them a flat, they are very young, they should have something of their own.
At that time I already had a two-year-old granddaughter and a grandson was to be born. I had two flats, one of them was rented out, and I lived on the money I received, so after talking to the children we decided that they could live there.
Then I noticed a change in my daughter-in-law’s behaviour. She became rude and rude, but I did not pay attention to it, I thought that all this emotionality because of pregnancy and soon everything will be like before again.
A few weeks ago I gathered the people closest to me to celebrate my sixtieth birthday. I spent the whole day working at the cooker to make delicious food for everyone.
The evening was going just fine, but my son and Lina told me that it was time for them to leave, as my granddaughter had to go to bed, I did not argue, I cut them a cake with me. The son went to warm up the car and the daughter-in-law had put her phone somewhere and was looking for it. I offered to call her, but she nervously declined. After a minute I decided to call her and the dog barked all over the flat.
Well, just think, she put a dog barking on my call!
My sister-in-law didn’t comment, thanked me for the treat, took the phone and left. I continued to stand in the same spot and didn’t know what to do. And after a moment I just cried, my friends and other relatives started to comfort me, and I didn’t even know what to say, because I was so ashamed, hurt and offended.
Did my son really know about this call? Maybe he has one just like it? And is he mocking me?
The next day my son asked me to give him the keys to the flat where they were to live, to bring the furniture there. His voice was expressionless, and I said: ‘You won’t set foot in that flat again, give my thanks to your beloved wife!’.
I don’t know if my daughter-in-law told my son what happened, because no one apologised to me, now they only called to remind me once again how I had set them up and acted in an ugly way.
I really can’t understand what I did to offend my daughter-in-law and my son to make them treat me like this. I always wanted the best for them.
