The eldest child of Steve Jobs, a late tech visionary and world-renowned entrepreneur, and Lauren Powell is Reed Jobs born in 1991. Despite the legendary man’s own rejection of formal education, he wanted his kids to achieve high academic achievements.
Job did everything so that his children put the main emphasis on practical experience. Reed concluded that his father’s expertise was much more valuable that modern education.
Everything changed when his father was diagnosed with cancer which led him to pursue a summer internship at Stanford’s medical department when he was only 15. He aimed to have his own contribution in cancer treatment and then practice medicine after his father’s passing.
He graduated from Stanford University in 2014 with a degree in history and international security. For those who don’t know, it was in 2011 that his dad passed away not living long enough to see and be proud of his only son’s accomplishments.
His personal life remained in the shadow. He prefers to keep it private and away from the public eye. His goal is to make changes in medicine and find the cure of cancer. The passing of his father left a forever mark on him forever.
