A loving dog, who was unhealthy, but managed to attend his owner’s wedding
Anne O’Connell took a black lab from the shelter 14 years ago. He had been leftover on a cart. Although Anne didn’t want to have a puppy, she couldn’t leave Cherry there.
Jamie and Anne are both vets and they are also engaged. And Cherry, who was 14 years old on their wedding, was very vital for them. On the year they got married the dog’s health deteriorated.
The week before their wedding his health state was very bad and Anne considered to bud him farewell. But Cherry didn’t have any occasions during the wedding.
He led his owner to the altar, but he was unable to go back! He was taken by Anne’s sister in her arms. It was such a touching moment, that all the guests were moved to tears.
And after approximately a week, Cherry passed away. He calmly drifted off to sleep at home with his loving family. Anne told: “It’s been an amazing 14 years.”
