The film, based on the legendary Broadway musical, transports viewers into the dark walls of a South American prison. Two inmates create in their imagination a movie fantasy about a glamorous Hollywood diva named Ingrid Luna — the character Jennifer is set to portray.
For this role, Lopez changed more than just her hair color. She admitted that she completely altered her posture, her gaze, her manner of speaking. The new image transformed the way she felt on set: “It wasn’t just a wig or makeup. It was an internal shift. As if I stepped into another dimension — and became a woman I had never been before.”
